For the 15th consecutive year, Absa remains the tournament’s presenting partner, anchoring one of Africa’s most prestigious golfing events on the DP World Tour calendar.

The DP World Tour, otherwise known as The European Tour, is a professional international golf circuit where top players compete in tournaments around the world for prize money and ranking points, culminating in the Race to Dubai honours.

Of the total Sh65 million package, Sh40 million will go directly to Kenya Open Golf Limited (KOGL) to support tournament organisation, ensuring the event meets global standards.

The remaining Sh25 million is earmarked for marketing and fan engagement, designed to deepen community participation and enhance the experience for players, spectators and partners alike.

This model reflects a shift in corporate sponsorship, from visibility-driven branding to purpose-led partnerships.

By sustaining the Magical Kenya Open, Absa is helping position Kenya as a premium sports tourism destination, attracting international visitors, boosting hotel occupancy, and supporting jobs across hospitality, transport and services.

Through initiatives such as the “Beat the Pro” challenge, Absa integrates junior golfers into a world-class sporting environment, offering each winner a fully funded Absa Junior Account worth Sh50,000.
